Merino/Nylon 'Storm Cloud'

Merino/Nylon 'Storm Cloud' hand dyed here in my home-studio in the countryside in France. Each skein is a blend of blue-toned stormy greys, ranging from pale to dark shades. Hand-dyed in a variegated style, there are strands of different greys running throughout the skein. As you knit with this Merino/Nylon 4 Ply hand dyed in 'Storm Cloud' the colours will subtly change in small sections of a few stitches at a time. A very gradual, pretty effect. that's good for socks, mittens and gloves. I hand-dye most of my colourways in unique, one-of-a-kind batches. Even my repeatable colourways are hand-dyed in small batches of 5 skeins because of my fastidious quality control methods. I put only one batch into the shop at a time, so please make sure you buy enough yarn to complete your intended project.

My Merino/Nylon ‘Storm Cloud’ is a sumptuous, smooth, soft, yet strong yarn that's good for socks. Of course, it knits up beautifully for super-soft larger garments and for squishy shawls and cowls. Merino is a tremendously soft wool. It’s very soft on the skin. All of my Super-wash Merino wool is from a mill that sources mulesing-free from Argentina, Uruguay and Europe. It’s sourced from farms of varying sizes, including small farms. Merino wool is very soft on the skin.

Your happiness is a priority for me:

I prioritise the quality of my hand-dyeing dyeing process, check carefully for tangles. take care that the photographs you see are representative of the real product, and think about what I, as an avid knitter, would like to receive after placing an order with a small business.
