Merino/Mohair'Pink Lip stick' hand-dyed in my home studio in the Charente countryside near Angouleme, France. This Merino/Mohair ‘Pink Lipstick’ is a 4-ply Merino wool and mohair blend. Each skein is a subtle mix of pinks. I hand-dye most of my colourways in unique, one-of-a-kind batches. Even my repeatable colourways are hand-dyed in small batches of 5 skeins because of my fastidious quality control methods. I put only one batch into the shop at a time, so please make sure you buy enough yarn to complete your intended project.
This Merino/Mohair ‘Pink Lipstick’ is a soft and fluffy 4-ply yarn. It knits like pure merino wool, but adds a lovely halo to your project. It’s also perfect for double-knit weight yarn patterns if held together with another 4 ply yarn in a similar colour. This gives a subtle halo and depth of colour. It can also be used as a contrast colour to give a fluffy 'pop' to your projects. I do not recommend this blend to be used for socks, gloves or mittens.
Merino is a tremendously soft wool. It’s very soft on the skin. All of my Super-wash Merino wool is from a mill that sources mulesing-free wool from Argentina, Uruguay and Europe. It’s sourced from farms of varying sizes, including small farms. The Mohair is sourced from Europe and South Africa. The mill that spins the mohair also own their own mohair farm and are passionate about the provenance of their products and animal welfare.
Your happiness is a priority for me:
I prioritise the quality of my hand-dyeing dyeing process, check carefully for tangles. take care that the photographs you see are representative of the real product, and think about what I, as an avid knitter, would like to receive after placing an order with a small business.
