MCN ‘Purple Bundle’ is a 2-skein Bundle made up of ‘Purple Party‘ and ‘Lavender Days‘. Both are a blend of merino wool, cashmere fibres and nylon. Both are fingering/4 Ply yarns. This MCN ‘Purple Bundle’ is perfect for any 2-colour project. My suggestions are:
‘Avant L’orage‘ shawl, which is a large 2-colour shawl available through Ravelry. I’ve knitted two of these and am bound to make another sometime – its one you can’t put down!.
‘Quiet Time‘ by Penny Baker, which is a surprisingly easy knit. A beautiful shawl which starts with a garter stitch section, then has a deep lace border.
‘Shawl Seduction‘ by Kelene Kinnersly. It’s a 2-colour striped shawl, knitted in garter, stitch, with some lace towards the end.is shown
The two skeins in my MCN ‘Purple Bundle’ are extremely soft on the skin and carefully hand-dyed in my home studio in France. My MCN ‘Purple Bundle’ are sumptuous, smooth, soft yarns. Perfect for larger garments and knit up beautifully for shawls, cowls, hats, and scarves. I personally would not knit socks with this yarn, as I don’t find it a hard-wearing enough blend. Use it to create luxuriously soft items instead. All of my Merino is from well-managed farms that DO NOT inflict mulesing on their sheep.
Even my repeatable colourways are hand-dyed in small batches of 4-5 skeins because of my fastidious quality control methods. I put only one batch into the shop at a time, so please make sure you buy enough yarn to complete your intended project.
