Description
MCN ‘Apple Orchard’ is a blend of merino wool, cashmere fibres and nylon. It’s a fingering/4 Ply yarn. Each skein is a variegated blend of pink, red and green tones. MCN ‘Apple Orchard’ makes a stunning statement used in a single skein project, but I would use it in a 2 colour project, (Such as ‘Avant L’orage’), where the other colour is a solid cream or grey. This MCN is extremely soft on the skin and carefully hand-dyed in my home studio in France.
MCN ‘Apple Orchard’ is a sumptuous, smooth, soft yarn that’s perfect for larger garments and knits up beautifully for shawls, cowls, hats, and scarves. I personally would not knit socks with this yarn, as I don’t find it a hard-wearing enough blend. Use it to create luxuriously soft items instead. All of my Merino is from well-managed farms that DO NOT inflict mulesing on their sheep.
Even my repeatable colourways are hand-dyed in small batches of 4-5 skeins because of my fastidious quality control methods. I put only one batch into the shop at a time, so please make sure you buy enough yarn to complete your intended project.
