100% BFL Wool ‘Eton Mess’
This 100% BFL Wool ‘Eton Mess’ is a Fingering/4 Ply wool, spun with a twist, and hand-dyed in my home studio near Angoulême, France. For ‘Eton Mess’ I speckled pinks and purples onto the bare wool, which shows through the speckles. BFL is very soft on the skin, yet because the fleece has a long staple length, it’s hard wearing and naturally resistant to pilling – so perfect for socks – no need for nylon!
My 100% BFL Wool ‘Eton Mess’ is a sumptuous, soft, yet strong yarn that’s perfect for socks! Of course, my 100% BFL Wool ‘Eton Mess’ is also great for larger garments and knits up beautifully for shawls, cowls, hats, mittens and scarves.
All of my BFL is from small, well-managed British farms. These farms adhere to high animal welfare standards. It’s spun in British mills.
Even my repeatable colourways are hand-dyed in small batches of 5 skeins because of my fastidious quality control methods. I put only one batch into the shop at a time, so please make sure you buy enough yarn to complete your intended project. If you need a larger quantity of skeins than I have in the shop, please ask me to custom dye a new batch for you.
